Maybe? I keep getting “Rule 1” and “Rule 2” errors when I post something on .ml. I was going to create an issue on GitHub about it, but I just haven’t gotten around to it.

Oh, I get it. My distaste for religion runs deep as well. However, in my own direct experience, I have not seen any overt religious-driven nasty behavior in my years around Buddhism. (Not to say that it doesn’t exist, but I haven’t seen it.)
For the record, I grew up in an extreme Southern Baptist area, and still hold the belief that all those fuckers are all pure evil.
I am atheist and my wife is Buddhist. While not exactly true, I view Buddhism more as a philosophy and it is more palatable in that regard. My tolerance for people practicing religion is also fairly high as long as they don’t try and “convert me”.
As a result, I have been to plenty of ceremonies for things over the years and it doesn’t bother me. Of course, I don’t believe in any of that “magic” but there is usually loads of good food that comes attached, depending. (Also, there is a high probability of after-hours gambling and drinking which was cool when I did that stuff, at least with the Asian crowd I roll with.)
+20 years married into a Buddhist family, if you were wondering about that.
Daaaamn! You had color? I only had monochrome on the Apple IIe at school for this game.
Do you think that people generally need to ask permission before reposting something (non-OC, anyhow) that was shared on a public forum?
Lulz. I just stole your comment. It’s mine now.
Generalize much?
So I just took a small sample (outside of major business districts) with Google maps street view dropping random pins in L.A. and searching for American flags. 0/3.
Same with Paris. 0/3.
I guess I got lucky? People can do their own samples and will likely see the inverse of my results.
Yeah, the pledge of allegiance is kinda stupid and has been cut from most schools at the start of the day. (That is likely regional though.) It’s still kinda weird that sports events still leverage national anthems too.
Many people here see hyperpatriotism as kinda weird and is more closely associated with (the bad kind) of nationalism.
To answer all questions like this, it depends on where you go. Some places are worse than others. Culturally important cities tend to be much more 'murica than others.
The US is a big country and it depends on where you are. Usually, expression of patriotism is directly correlated to the number of dualies found in that region.
Anywhere you go, in any country, you are going to find a subset of rabid nationalists.
In my experience, Canadians living in the US are more prone to express their own patriotism by hanging American and Canadian flags. (That is just my experience and also shouldn’t be considered a constant.)
This reeks of bias so it’s probably of interest: https://typingadventure.com/vive-la-france/
The problem with .ml shitposting is that it will almost immediately get removed. If it does start to propagate around to other instances, people will immediately recognize it as a troll post and it will get upvoted.
Trolling ml takes finesse and it’s the IRL epitome of “opposite day” over there.
Now describe the risks of low blood sugar or high protein diets. Any way you push the needle, there are big words to describe the bad things that can happen.
Eating less processed foods and moving around more seems like better advice than trying to swing eating habits to 11.
sugar is toxic
Sugar is what now? That’s a bold claim without specificity.
This has been a thing for years now. While I am sure it might annoy some pirates, it’s likely aimed at easily executed malware.
I deal with spam filtering on a daily basis and about 90% of it originates from Gmail. Most of that is just fishing/fraud. It would really suck if my users could easily detonate malware attachments, so this Gmail policy is a good thing for me.
Lick me.
You forgot about the strain of person that would want to get pH banned claiming it’s a gub’ment mind control agent.
I think you nailed it. For me personally, if I move to PieFed, it’s not because I want to “hurt” the devs, it’s because I really don’t want to be part of what they stand for.
The title of the article is referring to “chemtrails” as false. (You are blocked now too. So no point in responding.)
The point was not about if it was happening or not. It’s about how these examples are used as fodder to keep the conspiracies flowing about chemtrails.
If you mix just the right amount of conspiracy with a little bit of fact, you get to keep all the votes from the crazies. It’s super easy to use big words like “geoengineering” and twist them to imply that hormones are mixed with jet fuel.
I read it as bees.
Please do not the bees.
Budget time for sleep. Period. It might take a bit of strength to commit to that based on whatever situation you are in, but it just takes practice.
I have been in situations where I was absolutely forced to be awake for about 5’ish days but nothing else in my life after that ever forced that requirement. All-nighters were always a decision I made willingly and they never really worked out well for productivity.
Still, I am a shitty sleeper and at this very moment, I only have time to finish this comment and get about 4 hours sleep in a strange hotel before I need to wake up for work. However, I am older now and less sleep seems to be the norm for my body.
Managing being exhausted is a personal thing. Aside from drinking more water or coffee, I don’t think there are going to be many suggestions that will really help more than that.
