cut a sliver out of it with a breadknife
what??
I’m embarrassed about being a slob. I’m definitely messy and it’s a point of friction in my marriage. (I’m trying to get better but it’s hard to reprogram stuff from childhood.)
I dated a woman for 13 years who absolutely, positively, would not clean, and didn’t know how to use a garbage can. Would drop trash on the floor and leave it there until I finally got sick of it and cleaned it up.
Fuck. I feel like an army drill sergeant now in comparison.
Physically? Not great.
Mentally? Bad.
But existentially? Also quite unwell.
Solidarity ✊🏻 same here
I gota temp ban for saying a Nazi should die, and then I think the client that need to the permaban was someone about how some cop should die (a specific one who did something heinous as far as I can tell from the of the thread where my deleted comment was).
Yeah I used Relay and when the API stuff happened I saw the reddit experience that people had apparently been having for years and was floored that people still used it, it’s so annoying. The constant ads, the community/post suggestions for shit I wasn’t subscribed to, all the weird avatar and badging stuff.
I was not successful in my attempts. No matter what privacy measures, whether I let the account sit and I just lurked and upvoted before trying to subscribe/post/etc, got suspended almost immediately several times before I gave up.
✊🏻 did you also say something to offend the oligarchs
I don’t disagree, but what are the other/additional ways these announcements should be made that are effective? Besides word of mouth.
Get permabanned for saying nazis should die lol
Honestly I am still struggling to avoid it, I browse a lot still, but they are no longer getting my content for free because I literally cannot.
Yeah honestly, when you have a question like that, if there’s an appropriate Lemmy community for it share what you learned from your research on Reddit and ask is anyone else has input. Reddit may own the content but they certainly didn’t make it, or provide compensation to the person/people who did.
This is so terrifying to me. I feel like it’ll end up like the Black Mirror episode with the subscription model, getting more and more expensive with fewer features.
Great list, exactly what came to mind for me. I loved My Friend Flicka so much. Also Misty of Chincoteague had a whole series.
I’m glad this helped you but damn it’s depressing. People should not have to resort to ChatGPT for therapy
We’re already on our way to number 2 so I guess it’s time to prepare for that.
The Zone of Interest. Slice of life about a Nazi commandant. No real plot, not much really “happens” but I was absolutely riveted. Beautiful sound design too.
